FFA member Zachary Andrews was selected as a participant in a three-day youth institute in Des Moines Iowa, an event held annually by the World Food Prize Foundation. It is considered an honor to be selected to participate in the event. Thus Zach is considered lucky to receive the honor. The Youth Institute hosts 200 high quality students from around the United States. Which means there’s not a high chance of making it. With the United States having as many people as it does being 1 out of 200 is extremely lucky. But I think the hard part is the event itself. The event will allow you to connect with students from around the country. Which you will have to do because you and several others will participate in discussions. These discussion are hosted by global leaders in science, industry, and policy. Which must be hard on those kids. You have to quickly work together to make sound arguments with people who’ve worked in these areas all their lives. One of the fun things you get to do is tour the facilities. They look at the cutting-edge tech and research facilities. They tour things like farms, water treatment plants, and global health programs. These Facilities are what drive our society. They make the base food and goods processing them into a usable items.
