Chris Shewmaker received first place for his time in the yellow course, and Nick Tutt received third place for his time in the yellow course. This was at their second orienteering meet in Keithville, Louisiana on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Camden Fairview’s N.J.R.O.T.C left at 6:00 in the morning to have its  second Orienteering meet in Keithville, Louisiana at Eddie D. Jones Park.

In the orienteering meet, a student  picks a course, uses a map and compass, and has three hours to find all nine markers.

The cadets that attended are Sierra Cournean, Jamont Bowman, Nick Tutt, Chris Shewmaker,  Sierra Leconte, Cameron McLelland, Autumn Merritt, Kierra Moore, Jainnia Porchia, and Kaden Rector. There were two courses Camden’s N.J.R.O.T.C participated in, white and yellow. The yellow course is where you run the course by yourself. Nick, Chris, Autumn and Sierra participated in yellow course. White course is when you run with a partner. The teams for the white course was Jamont and Cameron, Sierra and Kaden, and Jainnia and Kierra.
