2019 Ouachita County Fair

The Ouachita County Fair took place on Sept. 11-14. There were a variety of rides and games available for everyone who attended.

In September 2018, the lease on the current property located next to the Camden Municipal Airport expired requiring them to relocate to the , Ouachita County Recreational Center, formerly the Boys and Girls club temporarily.

Admission into the county fair was $5 and $20 for a ride armband. The prices for food ranged between $2-$10. the fair had many rides including, The Zipper, The Tornado, Bumper Cars, Go Gator and many more. the fair had funnel cake, fried Oreos and jumbo corn dogs.

“I didn’t do much but it was definitely fun hanging out with my friends,” said sophomore Mercedes Sanchez.

“I went with all my friends and I rode all the rides,” said sophomore Paine Copeland. “It was so fun”.

The county fair will take place every year. Their new spot for the fairgrounds will be open in time for next year’s fair.
