On Sat. 19, 2019 DC1 Walls, Commander Mike Cheetham and CFHS NJROTC cadets participated in a drill meet in Monroe, LA. The meet started around 9 AM and ended around 12 PM. They competed against Neville, Pine Forest, and many other schools in their region. Senior Cadet Lt. Chelsey Curtis, senior Cadet Lt. J/G Jamont Bowman, senior Cadet Ensigned Cameran Mclelland, and senior Cadet Lt. Commander Autumn Merritt were recognized as outstanding cadets.

“NJROTC has shaped me into the person and leader that I am today and I’m looking forward to continuing it in college, says Chelsey Curtis.

The cadets won third place in color guard, second place in the unarmed basic drill, second place overall, and they brought home four trophies.
